So I made this account sometime back in 2013ish (maybe 2011) as more of a burner and signed up. Didn’t think it would get anywhere it has.

But my dilemma is I have lost access to the email (was a spam email) that I signed in through Twitter in. The only reason I have not totally lost access is i have stayed logged on my old phone.

So my question is there anyway to change the log in point? Or an I’m s.o.l.

I think you’re gonna be boned if you lose the cookies that keep you logged in. That’s why Long Voyager is on his third or so Kinja account.

Similar situation here.  I have the password Kinja gave me in a safe place, and I have had to refer to it over the years when I get logged off.

Unfortunately what I was thinking was the case, not a big deal just really didn’t want to lose the sharing/posting privileges

You should be able to link your account to Facebook as well, if you have one.

As far as changing the associated email, that's definitely a Kinja Admin thing and it seems the mods already tagged this thread as so.

I was logged in via facebook and was able to change my log in through my google account under my profile settings.

Seems like the consensus, I'll still have access to the posts but main thing I was worried about was being greyed out

Easy enough for any of us to ungray you. You’d need an Oppo mod to give you authorship again, though I suspect if you post in club openings with the new account that would happen pretty quickly .

Go here in your settings, and add a new linked account through facebook or google. you can then unlink or forget about your twitter account. I think this will work.

Very true but I think I got it with suggestions from everyone just to link another account to your profile which worked with my google account.

You could always slightly change your username on this account, then create a new account using the same picture and username. You could simply post a link to your old account.

Just a worse case scenario solution.

I dropped my FB log in a while ago and went to my google account. It took a bit but I figured it out.

So it seems you can link your accounts (google, FB, Twitter), you have to go to edit profile under your photo. (might have to go to request desktop setting if on mobile) then go to the link account as shown in Highlanders post

Yes, you can. I like to stay away from FB and Google anything as much as possible though. That leaves me just with my burner login. I’m having variable difficulty logging into to the FB or other Kinja sites that aren’t Oppo  these past couple of years.  I have no idea if using those other login methods would change anything, but I don’t care about much beyond Oppo anyway.

I forgot Google is also an option! :D Yeah, I linked mine to Google and use that to login. IIRC it basically replaces the old email/password anyway.
